Opal Lee Childers

Opal Lee Childers, age 87, of Camden died Wednesday, June 7, 2006, at Beverly Healthcare in Camden. She was born July 5, 19l8 in Chidester. She was a retired teacher and a member of First United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Haltom and Ada Lampkin Bearden. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Dale Childers of Camden; two sons, Richard Wayne Cash and his wife, Mary Lu of Little Rock and Dale Winston Childers, Jr. and his wife, Sherry of Camden; one daughter, Judy Kay Childers Powers and her husband, Frank A. of Sikeston, MO; seven grandchildren, Cindy Cash Brown and her husband, Keith of Little Rock, Amy Beth Cash Beatty and husband, Joseph Darien Beatty, Jr., of South Lake, TX, Frank Allen Powers and his wife Tara of Mobile, AL, Lisa Denise Powers Johnson and her husband, Scott of Russellville; Teresia Leann Powers Pearce and her husband, Josh of Russellville, and Matthew Winston Childers and Whitney Childers, both of Camden; seven great-grandchildren, Joseph Darien Beatty, III, Kayla Lynn Brown, Cooper Brown, Dylan Perry, Ashtyn Nichole Powers, Isabella Powers and Evan Allen Pearce.
