Mrs. Opal Idean Pate Kesterson, age 78, a resident of Dierks, AR, died Monday, March 28, 2005 in the Christus St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana, Texas.
She was born November 14, 1926 in Norman, Arkansas to Houston and Juella Davis Pate. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Dierks.
Mrs. Kesterson was preceded in death by two brothers, Jay Pate and William Pate, and one grandson, David Evan White.
She is survived by her husband, Jessie E. Kesterson of Dierks; two daughters and a sons-in-law, Joan and Clovis Manley of Dierks, and Wanda and David White of Nashville, AR; two sisters, Clydia Martindale of Texarkana, AR and Bonnie Golden of Borger, TX; three grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Kesterson will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 30, 2005 in the First Assembly of God Church in Dierks with Bro. Henry Bateman officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.

I am sorry for your loss. She will be missed. Opal always had a smile for everyone and her peach cobblers were the best.
