Opal Louise May, 44, of Sidney, KY., passed away Thursday August 2, 2017 at her residense. She was born May 22, 1973 at Pikeville, KY., to the late Orville Thacker Jr. and Nancy Louise Brown Thacker. She is also preceded in death by her brother, James Orville Thacker. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her children, Brittany Dawn (Christopher) Hinkle of Turkey Creek, KY, Gregory May of Sidney, KY, and Shawn (Jamie) May of Canada, KY. Two brothers; Kevin Dwayne Thacker of Sidney, KY, and Brian Keith (Janice Lynn) Thacker of Pikeville, KY. One sister, Audrey Lynn Liebl of Sidney, KY, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Sunday August 6, 2017 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with Gary Blackburn officiating. Burial will follow at Stanley Cemetery, Sidney, KY, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be after 6 PM Saturday night at the funeral home with special services at 7 PM. R.
