Opio was a joy to work with when I was an intern at the Oklahoma County Public Defender's Office. I had not realized that he passed and found this tonight. Sad to know that he is gone.

Hello, I just wanted to say "Hi" and I love all of you. Baba Opio is my God-father and I will miss him dearly. I do everything in my power to achieve my goals and be the best at whatever I do. I know how much he spoke up for "us" and that itself gave me the strengh to keep pushing... He always told me "be strong God-daughter and you will make it though." One more thing..."Baba Opio will you say hello to Baba Wayne, tell him I love him also and I will miss him dearly." 12-16-08

Opio was one of the most honorable and wisest men I have ever known. He was selfless and courageous in representing his constituency. Opio was one of the most elequent and passionate speakers in the entire Legislature. I admired him very much and I will miss him greatly. You, his family, were his pride and joy.
