Read MoreMr. Blackburn was my neighbor for many years and a wonderful friend to my mom and dad and to us Neeley girls. We all loved him and Mrs. Blackburn. He would bring my mom milkshakes from Pals during her last years in her home on Cypress Street and she would make him pies. So many fond memories of a sweet man and wonderful times! My deepest condolences.

Mr. Blackburn was a very respected and dedicated teacher. I was very fortunate to have been a student in some of his classes. We need more teachers with his dedication to our educational system. My prayers for comfort and peace for his family.
