Obituary for Orissa M. Kruse (Goodrick)

Orissa M. Kruse (Goodrick) passed away on March 19, 2026. She was born in 1954 in San Francisco, California, to Everett (“Hep”) and Orissa (“Ris”) Goodrick.

Orissa was raised in Marin County and later made her home in Petaluma, where she eventually retired. The youngest of three daughters, she brought warmth, generosity, and kindness to all who knew her. Orissa was truly a gift to the world—someone who consistently gave more than she took.

She was an active member of Kiwanis and dedicated her time and energy to supporting many other organizations and causes close to her heart.

Orissa is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Katie C. McCullough, and son-in-law Raymond L. McCullough; her cherished grandchildren, Jackson Ray McCullough and Shelby Kate McCullough; her sister Elouise “Sissy” Crawford (Goodrick); niece Patricia A. Carlson and her husband Butch Carlson, along with their daughter Morgan Orissa Carlson; her brother-in-law Hans Visser, husband of her late sister Christine Goodrick; niece Carrie L. Flick (Jim Scaheppe) and her son Patrick Haughlin; as well as many cousins and dear friends.

A celebration of Orissa’s life will be held in the near future, with invitations to be shared at a later date.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
