Orize R. Carpenter

Orize R. (Rioux) Carpenter, 86, of Crawford St., Fall River, formerly of Middle St., died Monday, October 25, 2004, at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of Rheo L. Carpenter. A lifelong resident of Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Ovide and Albertine (Cardin) Rioux. A retired garment worker, she was a member of ILGWU-UNITE. She was a member of St. Anne Parish.

Survivors include a son, Gerald R. Carpenter and his wife Denise of Fall River; 2 grandsons, Michael and Kevin Carpenter, both of Fall River. 4 sisters, Yvette Vezina of Needham, MA, Doris Lamonde of Swansea and Yvonne Renaud-Raiche and Aline Larrivee, both of Fall River and 2 brothers, Conrad Rioux of Swansea and Donald Rioux of Fall River. She was the sister of the late Annette Leveille, Eva Bernier, Bertha Pineault, Lorraine Brodeur and Ovila, Alphege and Albert Rioux.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Anne Church, So. Main St., at 10:00. Interment, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Tuesday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Large parking area and barrier-free entrance to the rear of funeral home.
