Not sure what to say?

I grew up with Orlando at First Missionary Baptist Church in Midwest City. I considered him to be my best friend. After high school I joined the US Air Force and went overseas. I didn't see much of him after that, but I will never forget the years that we spent growing up together in that church. I was so sad to hear of his passing. I know I will get to see him again someday when the Lord calls me home.

Orlando and I would see each other arriving to work some mornings. Seeing him walking at his fast pace holding his briefcase always brought a smile to my face. The teasing remark he would have to follow would take the smile to a laugh. What a great way to be remembered. Heart felt sympathy to the family is warmly exteneded.

I found Orlandao to be a tenacious, committed, passionate, talented, onry, and fun person. While we did not always see eye-to-eye about work issues, we bonded around our long service at the State Regents' office. When we visited on a personal level, it was all about his wife, kids, family, and church.

A couple of weeks ago, he was walking past me in the food court. He grinned real wide and punched me lightly on the arm - that is how I will remember him.

My thoughts...

While I had known Orlando when we were both in the Hodge Building at OSRHE, it wasn't until we officed together at RPI that I got to know him better. He and I visited quite a bit about the various challenges of our work - and he was one of the most helpful fellows around. He provided technical support for me at times - even when it wasn't his job!

His contributions as a member of the OSRHE & OneNet team will be missed by many.

Our thoughts & prayers are with the Ginn Family! Orlando was a good man,and how he loved his family!

dearest children of Orlando-"Lanny",
I remember your dad with fondest of memories. I believe if you ask your Auntie Kim, I was his first girlfriend. We rode bus #12 w/Mrs. Wagner, "the bestest busdriver EVER!" We were in 1st grade together, we would hold hands on the bus, and had our first kiss together-he even gave me a heart-necklace to wear. I only remember sweet memories of him and of James Price one of his best friends-"God rest his memory also in heaven". Those of us who went...

I have known and work with Orlando for a year. It is indeed a pleasure to know and to work with him. May God bless him and his family in this time of sorrow.

Whenever Orlando was going to be attending meetings at OSRHE, I just knew that I was not going to be dreary, because Orlando always found a way to make me laugh with his keen sense or humor.
His passion and expertise for his job always made me stop and listen to whatever he had to say.

May the family of Orlando find peace in their time of sorrow.

Many mentions about Orlando's humor which was without a doubt his calling card. No one was exempt from his teasing and needed to know this going in. I however want to talk about his grit and determination. Not many things or many people denied Orlando of what he was seeking. You couldn't! You could not deny the passion that this man had for everything he did in life. If he had a job to do, he gave it his all and then dug a little deeper. I pray that the family will find some comfort...
