Not sure what to say?

Wyman Family,

I never met Coach Wyman but I sure heard a lot about him and also still do hear his name at least once a month or better. I live in the house that your family owned on Hillcrest Road. "My" house is and I think will always be known as Gunner Wyman's house. When people ask me where I live I tell them directions and then they say, "oh that was Gunner Wyman's house, right?" I just wanted to let you know that this small town of Vincennes sure hasn't forgotten your dad (or...

Dear Molly, Ann, and Will:

I was sad to see the notice from Margie about the death of your father. I offer my condolences.
I didn't know Gunner well; but have high school memories of him as a fine teacher and inspiring coach - even glamorous and dashing in his way.

Will,
Sorry to hear about your dad's passing. I have been out of town and just heard today. I always enjoyed his stories. I always feel he helped me get started in my basketball career.

Will.
Sorry to hear about Coach Wyman. He was a postive role model and influnced on me. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Mike Quinn

Will,

There is no greater life purpose than to be known and called a Coach. Your Dad was a positive role model and influenced the lives of his ballplayers, managers, referees, opposing coaches, fans and scorekeepers in ways that we may never know. Glad you got to play for him at Lincoln and that he allowed me to continue to be a part of the team after leaving the water bottles behind in my 1st game as a manager vs. New Albany in 1975. Remember drinking out of paper cups? May you...

To the Wyman family,
I was so sorry to see that "Gunner" had passed away. I am a graduate of Tell City High School and only have fond memories of your dad and grandfather, as a coach and teacher. He was a good friend of my Dad, Bill Simms. He came to visit me when I attended WKU in Bowling Green, KY. He certainly touched many people. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

To the Wyman family:
I am very sorry for your loss! I had Mr. Wyman in school for health class in Vincennes. I had seen the article a while back and sent an email to him about his accomplishments and how proud you must be. I graduated from Lincoln High School in 1990, the year he retired. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Molly:
It has been many years since IU, but I wanted to send my condolences to you and your family. Your dad was my high school coach's (Jim Barnett-Evansville Reitz)biggest rival and we all feared playing the Alices with gunner over there. Hope you are well.

Will,
I was so very sorry to hear about the loss of your father. It has been lots of years since you lived up on the corner from my house on Hillcrest Rd. Yes I still live down around the road on Elm Lane.

I worked with your Dad at Lincoln for lots of years as you may recall. My where does time go so fast? He sure was a great guy in my book. We shared lots of good times especially at the old Lincoln.

When I was just a young buck teacher way back in the late 60's, we had a...
