Oscar Pequeno De Leon, affectionately known as "Poco Bigoton", born on July 4, 1935, went to be with the Lord on January 24, 2014 at the age of 78. He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Catarina De Leon. He is survived by his wife, Esperanza Garcia; daughters, Linda Esmeralda De Leon, Lorraine (Carlos) Lopez, Melissa (Freddy) Benitez; sons, Victor Sanchez and Rudy Almanza; grandchildren, Lee, Janelle, Joel, Carlos, Victor, Guadalupe, Cristan, Zachary, Matthew Oscar, Maximiliano; great-granddaughters, Leandra, Aubrey, Audrynna, Serenity; numerous extended family and friends.

Oscar was a devoted husband and father. He was a very generous person and helped a lot of people throughout the years. He had a zest for life and enjoyed it to the fullest. He worked as a paralegal and was well-known at the Court house. Oscar had a long-life passion for the "gallos" and as a music composer several local artists have recorded his work. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved him. The family wishes to give special thanks to Dr. Richard Newman and Dr. Lisa Davis as well as nurse Ebony at Trisun Care Center for their loving care and support.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 PM in the Hillcrest Chapel. A Chapel Service will commence at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, January 29, 2014. Procession will depart following the Service for interment at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery with Military honors.
