Oscar F. Faris Oscar Franklin Faris, 74, of Crozet, died Friday, August 2, 2013, at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville. He was born September 3, 1938, a son of the late Frank O. and Alice (Craig) Faris of Batesville. Surviving is a son, Michael A. Faris of Scottsville; three granddaughters, Rachel, Hannah, and Emily Faris of Greene County; three brothers, Meredith Faris, Melvin Faris and his wife, Charlotte, and Bobby Faris and his wife, Dottie, all of Afton; five nephews, Chris, Rodney, Brian, Mark, and Neal; and his extended family, Gloria Holyman and her sons, Chris and Ryan. A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, August 5, 2013, at Monticello Memory Gardens. Thacker Brothers Scottsville Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
