Dear Family of Ockie: I'm an old neighbor of the Hartman's from Beaumont Avenue in SW Philly. Ockie and I had reconnected a couple of years ago. I spent 30 years in the federal government, most as an FBI and U.S. Customs Agent.When people would ask me why I went into law enforcement, I'd tell them that when i was a kid, I had a Jewish neighbor that was a cop and I thought that was the coolest thing.
