Not sure what to say?

My recollections on the few meetings I had with Dr. Stromecky, I didn't play soccer, but recall from friends who were players how committed he was to the sport. My last contact with Dr. Stromecky would have been around 1985-1986 at UAH. I had a project for a work assignment and it dealt with office and other space assigned to his department. It has been many years now, but I recall his interest in helping and his thorough knowledge of the area he was responsible. Later on I remember a...

Coach gave me a chance to play soccer as a walk on. He was always kind and generous to me and all of my teammates. I see my teammate David Glassman made a post, and Coach was the Father of soccer in Huntsville.

Thank you for everything, Dr Stromecky.

I have so much to be thankful for to Dr. Stromecky. He encouraged me to forgo Leningrad/Moscow and to go to Lvov State University for the summer of 1988. Changed my life completely. Worked with Ukrainian refugees for several years; lived and worked there. Dr. Stromecky helped me with Russian so much in the beginning of my journey. Loved his classes in Russian and English side-by-side. What value!

I was blessed to be a student, studying the Russian language under Dr Stromecky in 1970 at UAH. He had a great influence in my life and I think of him often.

He was a wonderful man and a great father. My mother admired him and his accomplishments a great deal .I would never have learned about soccer and hockey if not for him and his two sons. God bless him and all his family.

Wow, what a testament about this great man. I couldn't even begin to fill a small portion of his shoes. I am so sorry for your loss, however it is so good to know he touched and enriched so many lives.

I'm so proud to be one of the daughter's in law of Ostap Stromecky. He was a second Father to me. He lead an extraordinary life. He will forever be in my Heart. My Son, Rostik Aaron Stromecky wrote the tribute to honor him in the obituary.

Fondest memories of a great soccer coach and life coach. He encouraged me to study Russian, trusted me to drive the van, taught me how to drive on the interstate, and took an interest in my music studies. Pat Alford, UAH Chargers, 1976-1979.
