SHELNUTT, Oswald Oswald Woodson, "O.W.", "Bud" Shelnutt, 92, of Fayetteville, died February 15, 2009. Mr. Shelnutt served in the Army Air Corps during WWII as a radio operator/gunner on a B17. On his 53rd mission, his plane was shot down over Germany. He worked as a route supervisor with Atlanta Dairies for 39 years. He was active in all the Masonic Orders and was Past Master of Forest Park #399 and Daylight Lodge #125. He was a member of Fayetteville First United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Martha Shelnutt of Fayetteville; sons, Woody Shelnutt and his wife Connie of St. Simons, Wendell Shelnutt and his wife Lois of Fayetteville; daughter, Eleanor Albea of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Sonya Millians and her husband Heath, Leigh Ann Allen and her husband Josh, Michael Shelnutt, Bryan Shelnutt, Stuart Albea and his wife Christy, Scott Albea, and Shawn Albea; four great grandchildren, Bella, Jackson and Austen Millians, and Allie Albea; and sister, Erma Piper of Roswell. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at the Fayetteville Chapel of Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Shelnutt and Dr. David Campbell and Joe Suttles officiating. Interment will follow at Camp Memorial Park.
