Not sure what to say?

I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Othello,my childhood friend and H.C. Ross High School classmate of 1955. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

I was sadden to hear of the passing of Othello. Even though I had not seen him in over 50 years, I remember him as one of the shinning stars from our home town of Crowley, La. who went on to do well for himself and others.
May he rest in peace.
Dr. Eddie J. Lewis of Arizona

My godfather memory of the last time I saw him in Tennessee for Aunt Bea's surprise party Gwen

Unk,
I wish I could see you one more time
But I know that is impossible I will hear your voice no more. I know you can feel my tears and don't want me to cry yet my heart is broken because I can't understant why someone so precious had to die.
I pray that God will give us strengh and somehow get us through as we struggle with this heartache that came when we lost you.
Love you Unk to the moon and back. RIP

Othello and I worked together at the Center for Community Change for many years. He was an able and caring colleague whose commitment to social justice and civil rights were a continuing source of inspiration to me. Othello had many responsibilities and was engaged in many projects but he could always be counted on to make time to help resolve a thorny problem or bring perspective that lifted the spirits. He had the rare ability to communicate and connect with all kinds of people and to...

My deepest sympathy to the Poulard family. May God shower you with his blessings.

Tribute to Mr. Othello Poulard
On behalf of the Group
By Dr. Alma C. Hobbs

Mr. Othello Poulard must have entered this earth on the wings of humility. He touched so many lives and changed circumstances making things better than he found them. While he entered earth at a time of segregation, he spent his life in pursuit of equality, justice, and respect for all. His spirit was filled with the demonstration of love for family, faith and friends. Over his lifetime, he did so much for...

What a great loss for all of us. Othello was one of my champions at the Center for Community Change. During times of stress, he offered comforting words and sage advice.
Words alone cannot acknowledge the gentleman and the community elder he was to many of us.
I am grateful for having known him.
My deepest sympathies to his family and extended family. His faith was strong so he is now with us in spirit forever.

As a colleague of Othello's during his days at the Center for Community Change, I learned much from Othello as he worked to empower those not in power. He was a passionate, strategic, and humble advocate giving his whole soul to the cause. He led a living of meaning. My thoughts are with his family.
