"two things make me smile when i think of this musician of ultimate caliber and person of a huge heart that still beats through mine! when we were in japan, he'd call me on the phone and always try to tell me a joke before going to work(they just wasn't funny, we'd laugh together anyway) and meeting at mcdonalds to eat apple pies! love and miss him a lot, but we made memories that will last a lifetime, we love you papa hayes"!

Millie and Erica thoughts and prayers go out to Otis family, my late husband musician bass player Vonnie Holt was a close friend to Otis, we will surely miss Otis
