Proctor Funeral Home - Camden Obituary

Mr. Otis James McCoy , 50 years old, of Camden, AR passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Christus St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana, TX.

Otis was born November 1, 1973 in Camden, AR to Leonard and Patsy McCoy.

Otis was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and a 1992 graduate of Camden Fairview High School.  After graduation he attended Southern Arkansas University. He enjoyed playing softball, basketball, hunting, fishing and of course he loved his hunting dogs.  However, the title "PawPaw" was what he enjoyed the most.

Otis was the life of the party, always smiling and making people laugh with his silly jokes.  He was a gentle giant, to know him was to love him.

Otis is survived by his parents, Leonard and Patsy McCoy; His wife Crystal McCoy; Children, Jasmine (Mariano) Collins, Kiera McCoy, Tyra McCoy, Oren McCoy, JaQuivan Nevels-Cawthorne and Jayuna Nevels-Cawthorne; Brothers, Leonard McCoy and Stanley (Nancy) McCoy; Grandchildren, KaeCee Mixon, Kinsley McCoy, Oakland McCoy and Maliyah Collins; a host of other family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Visitation will be Friday, April 26, 2024 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Proctor Funeral Home in Camden, AR

Services will be Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Shady Grove Baptist Church, 2889 Highway 79 N, Camden, AR 71701
