Missing you lately Uncle Ben. My favorite Santa on Christmas every year. All his little songs and dances. He used to grab every one of my aunts and my grandmother, every holiday he visited, and sing his own little tune and dance with them lol. I was very young but always thought it was funny. The party really started when uncle ben busted through that front door. Wish i could sit with him now and ask him about all of his adventures. and just know, you did enough. love you!

Was with him in the early 90´s when he traveled to HVAR. He took many things with him. Allowed him free excess baggage.

A one of a kind, wonderful man. I met Ben in the 80´s when he was in Marco Island, Fl and I was in Naples, Fl. He had room in a U-Haul for my furniture and drove it to Maine for me (as I was going to move there with my young son), put it in storage for me, and I will never forget his kindness. I ended up staying in Naples and had to go to Maine to get my furniture but that was an adventure in itself. Not nearly anything like his adventures but he is a man I will never forget. Miss the one of a kind Ben Hvar. So sorry he is no longer on this earth.

Terrific man. Artist, entertainer, friend. Hope your sons really appreciated what a special person they had for a dad. Tried to contact him several times and thought he must be travelling . So sorry to hear that was not the case.
I did know he was not very well. A braver man you will never meet.
