Not sure what to say?

Still can't believe he has left this earth. Been thinking about him as the 4th of July approaches. I love all of the wonderful memories of auctions--Ottie's beautiful deep baritone calling bids--and of the wonderful antiques that fill out home with warm memories.

Mrs. Opperman, I only just learned of Ottie's passing, he was one of my favorite auctioneers, myself and my grandfather attended many of his auctions that included model trains, I will never forget the last auction of his we attended. We will miss him dearly, and we thank your late husband for the memories and friendship he gave to us, and for the little engines he sold us.

Mrs. Opperman, I have just learned of Ottie's passing. Please accept my family's condolences and our prayers. I always enjoyed his auctions and just talking with him and you. You might recall who I am..I always asked you if you had been in contact with Liz Johnson. Her husband, Leonard was my teacher, boss, and very good
friend. God Bless you

Kay, I just learned of Ottie's passing. Spence and I are so very sorry. Ottie will be greatly missed. We have so many wonderful memories of auctions led by his beautiful, energetic, baritone voice. Our home is filled with auction purchases that will always hold warm memories. We are so very saddened and so sorry for your loss. --Love Kate and Spence

I worked with Ottie many times, and I was never disappointed. Always a gentleman, intelligent, professional, hard working, and diligent. A genuine person who never let you down. I will miss him greatly. Lou Henniger, Attorney

I am so sorry for your loss. I am thinking of you and your family Kay. Sending prayers and love your way. Ottie was such a great man. Always larger than life and I always loved hearing stories about him. Especially about his auctions. Whenever I see a recipe for white cake I always think of Ottie. May God wrap his arms around you in your time of need.
