WEST COLUMBIA%%Services for Otto T. “Toby” Vaughn, 79, will be held 2pm Wednesday, October 19, 2005, in the First Baptist Church of West Columbia, officiated by Rev. Dr. Lonnie Shull. Interment will follow at Celestial Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8pm this (TUESDAY) evening at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
Mr. Vaughn died Monday, October 17, 2005. Born in Columbia, SC, he was a son of the late Zeb and Tallula Sullivan Vaughn. He served his country in both the Navy and Marines in WWII. Mr. Vaughn attended the First Baptist Church of West Columbia and was retired from Servisco of Columbia.
Surviving is his wife, Joan Mayward Vaughn of Cayce; daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Bo Stokes of Georgetown, Joanie and Jimmy Ward of Gilbert and Gina and Neil Kyzer of Lexington; sisters, Iva Lee Quinton and Daisy Dubose both of Columbia; brother, O.J. Vaughn of West Columbia; eight grandchildren, Tobi and Kris Merschat, Tommy and Amanda Owens, Troy and Heather Goodwin, Tony and Stephanie Goodwin, Tonya Haywood, Sugar and C.J. Jeffcoat, Jason Kyzer and Teri and Chris Mosley; seven great grandchildren, Mary Catherine, Willow, Riley, Henry, Cole, Jonah and Spencer. Mr. Vaughn was preceded in death by a son, Mark Vaughn, one brother and five sisters.
