Not sure what to say?

Jane, it has been many years since Sandy and I heard about Otto and your name. It saddened us to hear Patsy Stewart, Sandy's mother, talk to her sister, Marion Ward about Otto passing.

I remember fondly those days when I "tried" to type those letters when I was Administrative Assistant at Tejas Girl Scout Council under Judy Nash and Elaine Howe.

Sandy and I are sadden by your family's loss.

Otto was a very special person in my life. I had the privilege of working with him for a number of years at Purvin & Gertz in the international energy consulting business. He was a mentor, an advisor but mostly a dear friend. He was a leader that inspired and taught me much. Otto had an uncanny knack of turning a problem into an opportunity. His characteristic forward thinking and innovation continued throughout the years. To Otto, polio was not a handicap or disability but merely an...

My heart goes out to Otto's family. I don't think I have ever met a man of greater strength and authenticity. Otto's passing is a great loss to all of us who love Dallas -- and is a keen personal loss to all of us who were fortunate enough to know him.

Dear Jane,
May God's blessed grace comfort and sustain you and your family, and know that you are in my prayers always. I shall never forget the acts of compassion and love that you and Otto shared with me and my family. It was transformative for me to witness how God used you both as instruments of His Divine Purpose. My life has never been the same.

God's Peace unto you and your family,
Vonzo Tolbert

I have often thought, as a friend of Liebe and Linda's, how blessed Liebe was to have such a devoted, supportive father. And how much it must have helped her become the creative, magical person she is, bringing her art to the world. Warm blessings to Jane, Liebe, Linda, Kramer and Jan.

As a friend and colleague of Liebe's, I have had the pleasure of meeting Otto and Jane a number of times and was always taken in by their warmth and amazed at how open they were to their daughter's artistic explorations deep into their family life.
My condolences to the family and to all of us who were touched by Otto and his life.

As close friends of Liebe and Linda, we send our condolences to the Wetzel family. We know Otto will be missed and his memory cherished by his friends and family.

I sign this book with true condolences for your family. I loved reading Otto's obituary. What an amazing man! And, as a personal friend of his talented and vibrant daughter Liebe, I can attest that he raised an amazing child. My heart goes out to your family.

Jeff and I send our warmest thoughts of healing and support to those nearest Otto, Jane, Liebe, Linda, Kramer and Jan. We all share both in the loss and the admiration of a life well lived. We are blessed to have known him.
