We will miss you so much.
You are an inspiration for all of us.The many science talks you had with me growing up directed me to where I am today. Thank you! I probably never would have taken an interest if it weren't for you.
I know we are all going to miss those creative Christmas presents too. It definitely won't be the same.

I recall the days back in Pratt City, when we would play baseball in the vacant lot on Dugan Ave..below the Kent's house. There sure were some good cooking aromas that came from that house. It wouldn't be long before the games broke up and we kids would head home in search of food.

Please accept my deepest condolences and be assured that we here in Philadelphia are praying for Ovelle and all of you in Alabama. I feel so fortunate to know that she was able to be in her great grandchildren's lives. I know she will be missed.

A wonderful Grandmother to her Grandson Jerry Kent. Mrs. Kent taught my Father Billy Roberts at Sayre Elementory School in the 40's.
I myself met Mrs. Kent and found her to be pleasant and Godfearing.

I married Jerald Ross Kent in 1965, and became the daughter in law of Ovelle Kent. She never treated me like a daughter in law, but the daughter she never had...as she reminded me often. She was a character! She taught me much about life in my early years, and as I got older continued my "life lessons". I had a son, Jerald Ross Kent, Jr. whom she and Pop doted on. After my husband Jerry died, several years later I remarried, and had a daughter, Tiffany, and Ovelle and Mr. Kent always treated...
