I am not sure when I first met Owen, but most of my memories are of him as our Scout Master. Boy scouts was one of the rare treats for me as a young teen. Part of this was because I was able to go on campouts, canoe trips, summer camp, etc. These were things I did not often get to do otherwise. However, a large part of why scouting was so great was Owen. Owen also made it possible for us to skeet shoot which I enjoyed a great deal.
