Owen Elliott Lord

Owen and I went to high school together. We weren´t close friends, but I always remembered him as being kind (one of the good ones). We reconnected at USC, and I felt so lucky to meet him again at a different stage in our lives. Owen had a way of making you feel seen and complete and at ease. Of the many wonderful young men I came to know through my son´s days at Choate, Owen stood apart as his own man in an environment otherwise top heavy with pressure to be a certain kind of man. He embodied a sensitivity and individuality that was bigger than any one place or grouping and seemed to see, feel and perceive the world with uniquely wiser eyes. We miss him beyond words.
