Not sure what to say?

I have not forgotten Owen´s birthday on 12/2. He is in my thoughts often and can´t imagine e the hole left in all the hearts of his family. I recall so many memories while working with Owen in the care management office on 5 South. Shelly, Owen was teasing about you one day when you wore infinity scarves; he said it was hard to find you in there sometimes. I thought that was so funny! Also I remember him saying that he asked family to not gift him at Christmas but to give to someone...

To the entire Pruiksma family, I love you all and am so sad that you have to deal with this pain. Owen was such a decent human being and I will miss him.

Shelley, I am so sorry to hear that Owen passed away, he was a wonderful, and caring person. No words can express our sadness for your loss.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. I was so sad when I heard about Owen's passing away, and so sorry he suffered with an illness. Thinking of all of you and sending my love . Carin

Single Memorial Tree

My twin... A legacy of love you leave. Thanking God for crossing our paths. We will meet again in gym class and in the cafeteria for chocolate chip cookies in the future. Your twin loves you forever.

Owen was, simply, the best! He always had a smile on his face and I would immediately feel calm because he was there. He was SO good with our patients. He advocated for our young cancer patients well and was never afraid to have the hard conversations. He was more than a coworker. He was a friend to all and will be greatly missed!

So thankful to have known and loved 'O'. Running in to him at the hospital was a sigh of relief - a safe place, a funny place, a solemn place - whatever you needed, Owen was there for you. Shared too many laughs to count, shared struggles and joys. He was taken way too early, and I'm so sorry to his beautiful family.

Our lives moved in different directions so it has been a while since I have seen Owen. This does not mean I ever forgot him. Owen was always an incredible joy to be around. I loved his sense of humor and every room he was ever in was full of smiles thanks to him. The world is a better place because of Owen.
