Not sure what to say?

To the Bedard family,

Heartfelt condolences to you. Steve was an inspiration to so many all the years he was my work colleague. He was a veritable 'hero.' He exemplified courage in the face of danger. He kept a positive, forward-looking spirit always. At work he was a constant fountain of creative, intelligent ideas. His enthusiasm and his smile were infectious. His smile was greatest, his eyes brightest, when talking about his beloved family. Steve's spirit lives on in the...

Uncle Steve, I was saddened to hear the news of your passing. I was privilaged to have you as a family member, and honored to have known you. I have many wonderful memories that I will always hold near and dear to my heart. I will miss you greatly, and until we shall meet again, I will forever remember what a wonderful man you were.

I'm sure the first thing God said to Steve upon arrival was 'You did good'. I was always amazed by the energy Steve poured into life from his teenage years to the present. Tough loss to endure. Condolences to his immediate and extended family.

Steve was a great guy. I knew him through the 43rd Aviation flying club where we were both members. I will always remember him. We flew together many times, including a trip around Connecticut landing at every airport in the state. This was his idea. We planned it out over 3 different days. It was a great trip and a great way to see our state from above.

Steve! You're a tribute to life! Thanks for being such an incredible inspiration and model human being! You're a great soul who will find happiness always. God Speed!

To the Bedards,

Steve was a great football official, but a better person. He was selfless and kind and his family and friends always came first. I feel honored to have known him and I'll remember with pride the times we stepped on the field together.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to his family in this time of sorrow... He will be deeply missed. "Play on, Steve!"

Sincerely,
