P. Alard Williamson NICHOLS, S.C. - Mr. Perry Alard Williamson, 84, died Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at his home after an extended illness. Mr. Williamson was born May 13, 1929 in Horry County, a son of the late Guthrie "Gus" and Rethea McDaniels Williamson. He was a retired plumber and electrician, having been the owner of Southern Electric Co. He had served in the S.C. National Guard. Mr. Williamson was a member of Nichols United Methodist Church. Surviving Mr. Williamson are: a Son: Louis Perry Williamson of Aynor; his Grandchildren: Mary Betha Smith of Nichols, River Rae Williamson, Rose Ashley Williamson and Louis Perry Williamson, Jr.; 5 Sisters: Dolly Hooks, Martha Sarvis, Harriet Jordan, Nell Monroe and Pearl Wilson; 2 Brothers: Wayne Williamson and Rufus Williamson; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Williamson was pre-deceased by his wife, Mary Frances Baker Williamson; a son, Alard Rae Williamson; a daughter, Jackie Williamson Smith; a sister, Sue Elliott; and a brother, Doug Williamson. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 12, at Red Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The services will be directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home of Mullins.

I was so sorry to hear about Alard.He was always supportive of me in our Williamson family research.He will be missed.

Mr. Alard was a good, hard-working man! He always had time to speak to anyone. My sympathies are extended to Perry and the rest of the family.
