On a Journey

Your journey began November twenty seventh nineteen forty eight
A journey that would take you through so many paths
From learning to talk to learning to walk
To sharing your wisdom and sharing your love

Your path would take you through heartaches and pain
But our Lord walked with you every step of the way
For he had also sent you a family as well
Your life was complete for a very short while

Come September tenth two...

My deepest condolences to you and your family. God bless you.

Y. Garza

I'll always remember how hard he could make us laugh. In the middle of a New Mexican desert, broke down Bronco and all, the man's sense of humor would not be contained.
He was like a Father to me for those two years I was in Tumbleweed, and we also got to make music together. He taught me a great deal about life and following your dream. Jason Ellsworth, RGV

I had the pleasure of sharing some of my life’s most memorable times with Pablo. While touring together in Tumbleweed we became close friends. We had many wonderful times. He had a mischievous sense of humor, and a heart of gold. I never met a more generous man. Those days seem like yesterday, I still have such vivid recollections of our time together. He was my mentor, a great musician, but foremost an irreplaceable friend. I am deeply saddened by his untimely passing, and will miss him. My...

I miss my good friend Pablo. We shared many good times during the 60 or so years we knew each other and the many years we played together in The Tumbleweed Band. I am sure God needed a drummer in his band and he called on Pablo. Someday we will have a Tumbleweed reunion in heaven and we will make sweet music together. Fela take care of yourself and may God bless you.

Fela,
I'm sorry I hadn't signed the guest book, but I just needed some time. I know that you have suffered a great loss as we all have and our heart goes out to you and you're children. I don't know if Pablo ever told you but he and I shared a lot of firsts together. We worked at our first job gathering eggs at a Rio Farm, we went to our first dance together and of course I was the Best Man at your wedding which was a great honor to me. Pablo and I were 1st cousins, but we grew up like...

I had the honor of getting to know Pablo and The Tumbleweed Band. He treated me as family and made sure I was always safe. There will always be beautiful memories of Pablo. He named me Little Bit.
Lord Bless You

For those who had the pleasure to have Pablo in their lives have surely lost one of the best people they have known. To the family, thank you for all the years that you shared him with us. Those days are always looked at with much laughter as Pablo could always say or do some of the funniest things. A great friend, a great drummer, a great person. Find Peace My Friend. It was an honor.

It was always a pleasure to visit with Pablo when he was in Carlsbad but it was a real honor to visit him and you,Fela, in your home in McAllen in 2007.

Our prayer is that the Lord will send His Comforter to be with you and all of your family during this time.

Love & Blessings........
