Not sure what to say?

To the family,
I have so many fond memories of both your parents especially as a child. My parents (David & Gail) were speaking of one yesterday..."pray with Daddy"! That was amazing how that dog would do that with Bro. Cope. And of course, no one could do Donald Duck better than him! I just have so many that I could go on forever. He was such an incredible man with the ability to make everyone feel so loved. There is no doubt that when he walked thru those gates....he heard.."well done...

On Dec 19 Gail and I will celebrate our 48th Wedding anniversary, Dr. Cope came from Pa mission field along with Betty Gail to perform the wedding... Dear Randy and Betty,
I just found out about Dr. Cope's passing this afternoon (Tue) just as the service was scheduled to begin. I am in Clanton, and am sorry I could not be there. I would have come to share in this time with you. Perhaps we can catch up soon.
In Christ,
Lamar

Dear Family, Herman and I want to send our love and prayers to you. Dr. Cope was a great man of God and we loved him dearly. He and Betty have left you a wonderful legacy. They loved their family so very much and they were proud of each one of you and all the Grandchildren. We had many conversations about their love of family. Cherish the memories.

I have many fond memories of Bro. Cope as he served Wylam Baptist Church in Birmingham. He not only was a leader but a friend to everyone as he went about spreading the joy of Jesus. I also have fond memories of Betty. I pray that you will endure this transistion in your families. God Bless Each of You.

I had the great privilege of serving on staff with Dr. Cope at Ruhama Baptist in Birmingham. He baptized my husband and both our children. I have known few people in my life who had a passion for souls like Dr. Cope. Dr. Cope epitomized the Great Commission because he was never afraid to "go tell". Our thoughts and prayers are with all the children and grandchildren. I rejoice in Dr. Cope's homegoing for great is his reward. We feel blessed to have known and loved him.
