Paige Wimsatt Obituary
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William E. Ray and Juanita S. Elder.
Paige is survived by her parents, Kirk and Tabatha Wimsatt; brother, Logan Wimsatt; sister, Mattie Wimsatt; grandparents, Joseph Wimsatt (Kimberly) and Linda Baker; 15 aunts and uncles and 22 cousins.
Her funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, with burial to follow in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Highlands.
Her time here may have been brief, but her blessings were great.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the National Save the Sea Turtle Foundation, 4419 W. Tradewinds Ave. Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33308.

Kirk, Tabby and family,
I always think of you this time of year. My heart still breaks for all of you at such a terrible loss. I often wonder about Paige and what she would be doing to conquer the world. She had that type of personality. She was such a bright light, fearless and full of sass. Normally I would say fly high sweet angel, however for Paige I will simply say Swim with the turtles sweet Paige.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your beautiful grandaughter. I just saw her picture this morning. My heart truly goes out to you. She is so young and her life was still ahead of her. I can't imagine what you must be going through and the journey that lies ahead. Know that you are loved by many. I only knew Paige for a short time. Paige went to a concert a couple of weeks ago with my son Michael. She was a very sweet girl and was liked by all. I know Michael will miss her dearly and as a mother it breaks my heart that she was taken so soon from all who loved her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Paige and i have known each other since we were eight years old playing soccer together. We grew close together there on through middle and high school. Both times we sat by each other on graduation day. She's my close friend. She may not have been able to live her life the way she planned, though she touched my life and many others. I love her and we will never forget her.

The whole familys in my prayers. I've lived in the same neighborhood with you guys my whole life. I hadn't talked to Paige in a while but I saw her on the bus. And Logan & I were pretty close. Paige was my friend when I was little & I had looked up to her. Its hard to unbelieveable what happened. You're not forgotten. You were loved Paige, by all of us, even those who didnt know you well . I can't begin to tell you how sorry I am for your family. I also know that no sorry is gonna make her come back or make you all feel better. You have lost a very special person in your life! She will always hold a special place in everyone's heart including mine, I graduated with Paige on Tuesday. She never got to live out her dream but she got to experience what it was like to graduate. God got her there for a reason. I won't forget how she took 5 minutes to start her senior speech and the whole room was laughing & crying at the same time.
