Not sure what to say?

I met Palmer over 50 years ago when I worked as a cocktail waitress at Sansone's in Shreveport. He came in one night & wanted to sing with the band. I told the trumpet player who he was & he welcomed "Paul Malone" to come up and sing. This group was from NJ & I ended up in NJ for 42 years until I retired in 2015. Trumpet player (my ex-husband with whom I had 3 kids) is now 84 & still waiting to be discovered in NJ. Palmer was an EXCELLENT tipper. I think I got $200.00 that night, which...

Palmer was a great fun and loving guy. We want to send our sympathy to his family. We will include Palmer in our prayers.

To the Long family, with fond memories and prayers, from the family of Camp and Carolyn Flournoy of Shreveport.

Our deepest sympathy to the Long Family.
It was our honor to have Palmer and his
late wife in our lives in the horse
business - what a fine gentleman Palmer
Long was to everyone. He shall be sadly missed. Revella Norman-Poff and the Norman Family.

I grew up having the pleasure of knowing both Palmer, and his beloved wife Louene. What I remember the most about them was that they were always laughing. They, to me, seemed to be ONE. There was absolutely nothing that they wouldn't do for you, absolutely nothing. I will forever cherish my memories with Palmer, and Louene. GOD IS GOOD!

My condolences to the Longs. My grandmother grew up with Rose Long. Even through our families took different paths, I always felt connected to them because of her stories.

Condolences to the Palmer Long Family. The Long Family has done so much the state of Louisiana and the nation. A name to be remembered.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Palmer Long for their loss. It is also a time to reflect on the historical significance Huey Long played in Louisiana's history and that of our country during desperate times. Anyone who loves The LSU "Fighting Tigers" or the "Golden Band From Tigerland" or the oil depletion allowance- before it was repealed- or knew someone who was a Huey P. Long or Russel Long supporter, or does not completely trust the large oil companies needs...

My thoughts & Prayers are with the Long family. I feel like I know the family personally. I did my 8th grade Louisiana History paper on Huey Long for Martin Cortez's class @ Raceland Junior High. My grandfather Roy smith was a Huey Long fan. Lots of great memories related to this family.
