  Pamela Jane “Pam” Jones, age 75, of Jackson, and a former longtime resident of Marion, passed away Thursday morning, August 14, 2025, at Four Winds Community in Jackson, Ohio.  She was born February 19, 1950 in Dayton, Ohio, daughter of the late Phillip A. Rodgers and Doris H. Naas Rodgers.  Pam held a master’s degree in music education from Marygrove College in Detroit, Michigan.  She was an educator who taught music in various elementary schools in the Dayton area and Marion County, along with teaching a class integrating music into elementary curriculum at The Ohio State University for 20 years.  Pam was very outgoing, cheerful, kind, and was known for her ever-present smile.  She enjoyed music, cooking, entertaining and sewing.  Pam was faithful to her Lord and her family and was a member of the Dayspring Wesleyan Church in Marion.  She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Craig B. Jones, whom she married on June 4, 1971; daughter and son-in-law, Megan and Rev. Matt McKee of Jackson; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Joshua and Nicole Jones of Orlando, Florida; granddaughters, Mattylynn Elizabeth McKee, Meradith Kay McKee, and Mirianna Jane McKee, all of Jackson; sister, Lynne Hackenberger of Troy, Ohio, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Besides her parents, Pam was preceded in death by brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Martha Rodgers; sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Rev. Walter Friedley; and brother-in-law, James Hackenberger.  Calling hours will be Sunday, August 17, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Dayspring Wesleyan Church, 2431 Marion-Mt. Gilead Road, Marion, Ohio 43302.  A Celebration of Life service will follow the calling hours at 4 p.m. with Rev. Charles Osborne III officiating.  A graveside service will be held Monday, August 18, at 1 p.m. at the Shiloh Park Cemetery in Dayton with Rev. RIP Pam.... I worked at Elgin West and have many memories of music programs and good conversations....

So sorry for loss. Pam was one special lady. She is the reason my daughter Danielle got into the Jim Shore decorations. She will be greatly missed.
