Not sure what to say?

Pam was a classmate of mine at St. Paul's and Canton Central. I also caddied with him at Congress Lake for a number of summers. He was always good-natured and a pleasure to be around. I especially remember his enthusiastic participation in the various made-up athletic events in the caddy yard. He was a good guy who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Rest in peace.

We met Pam only once for two days at the wedding of PD's son, Joshua, to our granddaughter, Jennifer; but we shall never forget how friendly he and his wife were. We look forward to renewing the short acquaintance in that place where our friendship will never end. May GOD comfort those he has left for a season.

As a parent who dealt with Mr. Purses, I expecially appreciated how he saw
the positive things in the kids he cared for. Our school district will miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I felt someone from Canton St.Paul's Catholic Church and a schoolmate of Pam's there should remember what a polite, nice kid he was also. I grew up to be a teacher and was glad to hear that Pam had used his talents in education also. My cousin Dan Obrovac and neighbor Frank Wittman were good friends with Pam back in our old school days. Hearing of Pam's loss is like hearing about the loss of a "family" member. May he enjoy his well-earned eternal peace.

Sorry for your loss. (Ms. Sphan. I to am from Steubenville and I remember you Ms. Spahn(Purses)from Garfield Elementary School. You were one of the many teachers I have fond memories of. If your husbands' joy of teaching was like I remember yours, he had to be awesome. I am sorry for your loss.

I want to express my deepest sympathy to Cynthia and the children, my heart goes out to you for your loss. PD was a great boss, co-worker, friend and neighbor. I know I will miss PD as well as so many other people whose lives he touched.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

P.D. was a wonderful man and a great boss. He was very caring and supportive of his coworkers and the students and families in our district. He will truly be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Dear Family of Pam Dominic Purses,

I would like to express my deepest synpathies to Pam's wife and children, and to his mother and father and brothers and sister-in-laws.

My family lived across the street from Pam's on Baldwin Ave. in the 1950's and early 60's.

I do not remember much, but I do know we all played together in those early years. My sisters and I were all about the same age as Pam and his brothers.

My thoughts and prayers are with all. Sincerely,...
