Peacefully beloved wife, stepmother, G-ma, sister, and daughter, Pamela Elaine France-Bean entered into the loving arms of Jesus on August 14, 2020, with her husband beside her. She was born on December 14, 1962, in Los Angeles, California. She graduated from Cleveland High School in Reseda, California. She attended Los Angeles Southwest College. Out of high school, she was employed by Broadway Department Store, Los Angeles, and transferred to Neiman Marcus in Dallas, Texas. She worked there over 36 years dedicated to giving her absolute best to those around her and to lead well. Earning the Neiman Marcus Best Award was just one of the ways she proved her strong work ethic. Upon retiring from her role as the Human Resource Director of Neiman Marcus she continually sought-after opportunities to serve others, learn new things, and grow in Christ.
She and her husband were faithful members of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, TX where she attended Women’s Desperate for Jesus Conferences annually, joined a women’s home group, and was once a part of the Project Turnaround for mentoring young ladies at Kimball High School. Most recently, she volunteered weekly at Jonathan’s Place in Garland, TX making food for the girls, encouraging, and teaching the girl’s the love of Christ through her presence. She loved people and had a heart for young teenage girls. She desired for young ladies to know their worth in Christ and be confident that they were loved and cherished by God. Along with her pull to young girls, she even served up meals for the homeless at The Bridge in downtown Dallas and looked after family and friends bringing meals or checking on them. She loved God’s word and allowed His word to speak and shine through her.
Pam loved to sing, cook, and serve in any way she could to show you that she cared. She cherished her time with God early in the morning. When she was working full-time, she was dedicated to reaching her goals and being excellent in her role. She seized opportunities for teachable moments with those she came across or simply to love them where they were in life. If you came to her home, she greeted you with a smile and really saw you. She looked forward to always spending time with her family in Dallas and California. There were always activities and events planned with her family as well. Equally important, she loved her husband and immediate family. The conversations and laughter were endless with her husband. She delighted in her life with him. She poured into her stepdaughters and was there for them anytime she was needed. Lastly, she loved being a G-ma. She loved her grandsons! She cherished every moment with them. She was one of a kind and one is better having known her.
She is preceded by Minnie Hill (Maternal Grandmother), Novella Peoples (Maternal Great Grandmother), and Mitand and D.C. France (Paternal Grandparents). She will be fondly remembered and sorely missed by her husband of 23 years Bernard Bean, her stepdaughters Lakrecia Johnston and Tamara Bean, son-in-law Cody Johnston.
