Alexander Krychyk, 92 of Lorain, fell asleep in the Lord Tuesday, December 18, 2018 in Avon Oaks Nursing Home, Avon.
He was born October 15, 1926 in Poland to the late Omelan and Olga (nee Hasuuk) Krajcyk. He Immigrated from Germany in 1951.
He worked for Ford Lorain Assembly Plant for 30 years. He was active in the Lorain Ukrainian Community. He was a founding member of the Ukrainian National Home. member of the Ukrainian Selfreliance Credit Union, Ukrainian Congress and a faithful member of St. John Ukrainian Byzantine Church. He was also a member of the United Auto Workers Local 425 Lorain.
He will be dearly missed by his Loving wife Maria Krychyck of Avon.
Friends may call Friday from 2 to 6 PM with a Panachida at 5 PM. Prayers will be Thursday 9:30 AM in the funeral home followed by Divine Liturgy at 10:00 AM at Saint John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, East 31st Street and Charleston Avenue, Lorain. Very Rev. Canon Father Steven M. Paliwoda, pastor will officiate.
