Not sure what to say?

I was just refreshing my French because I am going to France next Summer. In 9th grade Madame Klein taught me French. In 10th grade my family moved to Manhattan Beach from Inglewood. I was so very disappointed in my French teacher because after Madame Klein, well there is no getting better. I was using her principals to refresh my knowledge and realizing she had more than half-a-century effect on my life. I looked her up and see she has passed and that I can not thank her personally but...

I just want to add my sorrow at the loss of Rowan Klein. I am so happy that we at least had an email chat in 2011, even though it was so he could tell me that Pam had already passed. I am sorry I could not get to LA to meet with him. They lived rich and fulfilling lives and now we have the poignant pleasure of them being part of our memories, our stories.

Madame Klein, I am very sorry you are not here with us anymore. I always admired you. Today I was going through my things and I found an invitation to a gathering at your house to which I never went because of lack of transportation at that time 1991. I was a French student at Morningside HS. You were always so excited about the French culture I will never forget about you and your cool French hair cut I am very glad I took your class I love the French culture because of you. Today looking at...

Madame, you were the best teacher ever. I am devastated to hear of your passing I came accross the obituary when searching for our French textbook for 1980 I loved that book. My son is now taking French and I wanted to show him how you taught us. Madame, repose en paix. Rose (Rosa Martin del Campo) 1979-1982

Pamela Klein was my French teacher from 1974-1978 and she was the best teacher I ever had, ever. I have looked for her, contact information for years, but never knew where to find it and nothing showed up on the internet. I am devastated to learn of her death only now in 2011, but so happy to learn she was able to live and now rest in Paris. I wanted her to know that even though it took me 32 years to begin speaking French again, because of how well she taught me all those years ago I have...

Madame Klein was my French teacher from 1966 to 1968. Her love of the language and culture was contagious. I fondly recall her taking the class to see Marcel Marceau. Now that I am a school administrator, I am even more impressed by her ability to inspire high school students. She was a wonderfully bright spot in our lives and I have thought of her often through the years.....

Dear Rowan and family, My mom, Esther Kleinberg was extremely saddened by the passing of Pam. I myself, her daughter, Corie was equally saddened especially after listening to the memories of how my dad use to teach Pam Piano. Please know that in our hearts we feel a great void left by Pam, a part of the family who's link will always remain apart of the chain. Love, Corie

I was a student of Madame Klein for 4 years from 1981 - 1985. She will always stand out in my mind as an instructor who taught not just from the book, but by example. She remains in the hearts of the many students she touched. Because of her influence on my life, my three eldest children each took four years of French and one is studying to be a French teacher. She held me accountable -- daily "Elise, au tableaux." Thank you for sharing her with us.

Rowen & Lin.... I am devastated by this news. We are bound by so many years of knowing each other, yet our contacts have been too few and far between. I have been out of the country for 2 weeks and have only now returned to the telephone messages carrying this news. My heartfelt sympathies to each of you for this tragic loss. I will be in contact with you soon.
