Not sure what to say?

I had a crush on Pam from elementary through high school. She was so beautiful inside and out. I wish I had kept up with her after graduation, but am grateful for the time she was in my life.

As time approaches nine months since Pamela passed from this earth, about the same time it took for her to arrive on this earth, I offer these words of thanks to my five Smitherman Grandchildren and my Son-in-law Christopher, for the love and devotion shown to her while she was in your lives. Pam would be happy remembering whenever you demonstrated her famous teaching that "Love is a Verb." May you all continue to do so in your future.

To the Smitherman relatives and extended...

So sad to learn of her passing today on WLW listening to Christopher talking to Bill Cunningham. As a widow myself, your words and thoughts were truly spoken from your heart, from the love you have ...and always will have, for Pamela. You will never stop loving her. You will always feel married to her, because you are in your heart and mind. You are NORMAL!!! Much love to all of your family!!! Sincerely, Lora M. Walker, your unknown friend who cares, from Wilmington Ohio,

I first met Pam immediately after she was diagnosed with breast cancer. I arranged for a surgery within days, with the hope that removal of the instigating source for her antibodies affecting her movement would help improve her quality of life and treat the cancer. Alas, the damage had been done and her immune system which tried valiantly to protect her, turned on her in a rare and unexpected fashion.

Pamela's grace in dealing with her fate, her strong faith, and her family are an...

I got to know Pamela through being swim team moms. She was generous and kind, no nonsense and wryly funny. When I took over her position as volunteer coordinator, she sat me down in October to teach me the tasks for the next May. She passed down an incredible amount of knowledge and also supported me as I tried to do right by her. She was a true teacher through and through. Her commitment to her kids' activities was legendary. Her friendship, kindness, thoughtfulness and unique way of being...

Pamela Michele, my first born, answer to prayer for a petite and feminine daughter. You blessed my life with your smile, your love, your joy. You became a doting sister to Tracy Irene, teaching her to swim, braid hair and to be fearless in all things. I will remember how you shared my love of sewing and surpassed my skills by age 14. You became an Eagle with outstretched arms covering your five arrows in a quiver full...your children. You lived your love for Jesus by honoring your marriage...

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Pam will be greatly missed. She was a remarkable woman. I knew Pam through my oldest son, Joseph. Joseph and Malcom were on the same soccer team at Walnut and Kings Hammer. My family and I want to extend our deepest condolences and prayers to you and your family.

Christopher, I was so sorry to hear of Pamela's passing. Although I didn't know her well, I know that you shared a love so strong that she will be with you always. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Love,

Crystal Burnett
