Pamela "Pam" Rae Zandt

Pamela Rae Zandt, age 73, passed away Monday, December 16th, 2024 at Sanford Hospital.

Pam was born on July 29th, 1951, in Sioux Falls, SD.  She was the first born child of Melvin (Buck) and Elmira Jones.

She lived in San Diego, CA until her family relocated back to Garretson, SD when she was 16 years old. She graduated from Garretson High School in 1969.

Pam remained in Garretson and married Norman Eide in 1972. They had two children, John and Jennifer, before divorcing.

On August 31st, 1985, Pam married Jim Zandt and moved to Sioux Falls. They were married for 39 years before Pam’s passing.

Pam only had 2 jobs in her lifetime. She worked at her mother’s cafe in Garretson until the commute became too much for her to handle. She started with Rogers Jewelers from the day they opened in the Empire Mall until the day they closed - over 30 years. 

Pam enjoyed planting flowers and spending time admiring them while sitting on her deck. She was a voracious reader and loved time with her family most of all.

She is survived by her husband Jim, son John (Stacey) Eide, daughter Jennifer (Dan) Grider, and Grandsons Gabriel (Estefania) Josko and Spencer Josko all of Sioux Falls, SD, and sister Cynthia Tobias of Janesville, WI.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents and sister Deb and brother Drew. 

Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 23, 2024 at 1:00pm at Heritage Funeral Home. A visitation will take place one hour prior at 12:00pm.
