So sorry to hear of the loss of Mr. Bekos. I remember my grandfather bringing me to the store as a little girl. I remember those Cain potato chips for 5 cents and the Variety Club fruit punch soda. I looked so forward to going to his store for treats. Glad the family stayed in the neighborhood. He was such a nice man. Deepest regards and sympathy to the family.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Bekos family. Your father was a good friend of my father, the late John G. Skouroukos. He was in the Evzone unit and in the AHEPA with my father. I remeber him when I was little. He very nice and sincere man.

Words cannot express the feelings and heartache that we're feeling right now. The Greek community has lost a true leader and a great man. I spent a lot of time with Pete in the AHEPA and the Zenobia Shrine, Evzones group over the years. I always found Pete to be the voice of common sense and a rock to lean on when needed.
