Dr. Tsonis a brilliant scientist and caring human being. His amazing research inspired me and others to study newt regeneration. I always enjoyed our science chats and talks at izakaya's. My condolences to his family.

Takis, a great scientist, excellent teacher and above all a fine human being who cared a lot for others. I always used to love to step in his office and having long chats about science, history and sports. I learnt a lot from him and will cherish my association with him for my whole life.

I will never forget all I learned from working with Dr. Tsonis. I was truly blessed to gain my first lab experience under his guidance as he was starting up his lab at UD. He will be greatly missed by many.
