Paraskevi "Patty" Tsilimos, age 83, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2017. She was born in Chios, Greece on May 10, 1934 to the late Mihail and Kaliope (nee Mihalis) Karakozis.
Paraskevi is survived by son, Chuck (Jennifer) Tsilimos; daughters, Irene Tsilimos, Kelly (Dan) Marlow; brothers, John (Angie) Karakozis, Marko (Maggie) Karakozis; sister, Katina (late Pantelis) Mamounas; sisters in law, Maria (late Kostadinos) Karakozis, Paraskevi (late George) Karakozis; grandchildren, Kristiana, Pantelis; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pantelis "Pete" Tsilimos; nephew, Michael Mamounas; father and mother in law, Kyriakos (Erini) Tsilimos; and her parents.
Memorial contributions may be made to SS. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 8000 Madison St., Merrillville, IN 46410 or to the family.
A funeral service for Paraskevi will take place Monday, August 7, 2017 at 10:00 am at SS. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 8000 Madison St., Merrillville, IN 46410 with Rev. Theodore Poteres officiating. She will be laid to rest at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 6, 2017 from 2-8 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd. Hobart, IN 46342.
