We are all very sorry to hear about Uncle Park. We (Dick, Doris, Richie, Phillip, Carter and William) all rmember our trip down there to see you back in 77? Had a lot of fun and I (Carter) even got to run with Uncle park for a lap. Thankfully he ran slow and just waved as he kept going for more:)

Poppy (Park King) was a great man and loving grandfather. From bicycle rides and howling at the moon when I was younger to later dancing at my wedding and seeing my masters graduation, I was blessed to have him as an active presence in my life. Also, aspects of my character from being an avid hockey fan to my passion for education and teaching have demonstrated he may have had a stronger influence than I realized and I am proud to be like him. With fond memories from Union Park Junior High School in 1973-1974, when he helped me transition from a military career to teaching in the public schools - a role model indeed. The impact he made in education continues. The world will miss him.
