Parker Poole Jr.

I just found out about Uncle Parker's death...and what came to me immediately upon hearing of it was the image of his huge smile and twinkling eyes...I shall never forget his lovely face and the laughter that went with it.

To the Poole Family -

I was so lucky to have spent some very memorable times with Sam, Mr. and Mrs. Poole and their (very extended, very fun) family. Years have passed, but I often think of it like it was yesterday. I'm always happy to run into them now; whether it's at the local shopping center, a pub or seeing Mrs. Poole taking her walk/runs along Cape Elizabeth. The last time I saw Mr. Poole, I re-introduced myself (which is fine, really, as people usually have that perplexed...

I am a better person having the pleasure of knowing you and your wonderful family whether it was in Kent or Cape Elizabeth! I will always carry with me the memories and metal picture of you and your great smile, sitting in a chair at the Summer house "holding court" and sometimes, like my Dad, your love of Messing about in boats! You always made our family feel so welcome, like part of your great family when we would arrive on our favorite Summer trip to the Pooles: Hanging out...
