Not sure what to say?

Parviz ask to be remembered in the engineering community as "the guy who invented fiber optics". At the time I thought it was a odd request beause it was not part of the 3-D TV we were watching, but this is my opportunity to honor his request. Recently I looked him up to kid him he missed a feature, the original fiber optic bundles glow blue when you wrap your hand around them, new ones do not.

I only knew Soli as a little girl over 70 yrs ago. He married my cousin. He was kind to me, a wonderful photographer and breathtakingly handsome. I learned that he led a righteous life. He reminds me that despite the world today, there is hope.

This condolences is a little late but I wanted you, soltan's family to know I had worked on an advanced 3D television imaging concept just before he retired from the Navy lab to work for Mitsubishi TV. I retired in 2003 and did not follow up on his work. He was an exceptionally brilliant scientist who could comprehend technology concepts that will happen in the distant future when our grandchildren are at our age. Ernest bellantoni

SUCH a privilege to know and love our wonderful Soli these past 30 years. What a joyful sendoff his beautiful Cynthia and their children gave him; a fabulous party for an amazing gentleman.

As significant as his 22 inventions are, his most important and enduring legacy shall forever be his children and grandchildren. “So much of what is the best of us is wrapped up in family".

All my love,

Rewa Colette Soltan
