Mr. Elia Absolutely, one of a kind. He was a great teacher in the class room as well as on the basketball court. The one thing that he instilled in me was to respect others. As students of his, all of us were lucky if we had a class of his, I had four years of Social studies with him. Four years for life lessons that have lead me in good times and bad. God bless your loved ones during these sad days. RIP Bobby McNulty

Mr. Elia was my Social Studies teacher in his 1st year of teaching in Eli Whitney. He was also my youngest son's assistant principal in North Haven Middle School. He was a great man, teacher, and administrator. He loved all his students. He was also my next door neighbor's nephew. Rest in peace Mr. Elia Irene Kuczirka Blee. Class of 72.
