Not sure what to say?

A memory of Pat: As neighbors, both Jean and husband Pat brought life to many who knew them. After Jean´s passing, Pat kept playing tennis, riding his bicycle and enjoying life taking many cruises and being a good neighbor to all of us on our little street on James Island. I fondly remember our friend Doylene with her smiles and kindness to all. Thank you Pat.

I have known Pat for greater than 10 years . He was my friend. He was always brutally honest and made it a point to exhort me to live life to the fullest. I will miss him . My condolences to his family. He always spoke so lovingly about you.

Like Lynn Laurenti, I was Mr. Mag’s sixth-grade student in Woodcliff Lake. I think I can speak on behalf of my fellow sixth graders when I say that we all loved Mr. Mag. He was, among other things, an avid soccer player. During recess every day in the schoolyard he taught us boys how to dribble, pass the ball and make goals. He was all but religious in his devotion to what Latinos call “futbol.” Because of Mr. Mag I forced my parents to buy me a regulation soccer ball. I spent hours at home...

Mr. Mag was my sixth grade teacher at Woodcliff Lake Elementary School in 1952. He changed my life by recognizing and honoring my individuality. He praised my writing, which prompted me to pursue a very successful career as a journalist and PR writer. I had the immense pleasure of seeing Mr. Mag on two occasions over the past 10 years, when he was passing through Fort Lauderdale on vacation. I'm so glad that I told him all his mentorship meant to me. He was a gifted teacher and a wonderful...

Helen,
He was the best teacher.

None who knew him or were blessed to have him as a teacher will forget him! Mr. Mag was the best. He made me love coming to class. An outstanding teacher and friend and for many years a neighbor. You will be missed by all. My condolences to the family. I will remember you always.

Helen,
I offer my condolences to you and your family at this time of sorrow.

Mr. 'Mag' was not my teacher - he taught the other 6th grade class at Edgemont Elementary School in Montclair NJ. How lucky the other class was to have him for a teacher. We got to see him for shared activities. He always made us laugh and easily got us to cooperate. A joint class trip to NYC was that much more fun because he was part of it. He's always been a model for me of what makes a good teacher.
My condolences to Helen and family,

"Mr. Mag" was my 6th grade teacher. I have a picture of him with the rest of my classmates at Edgemont Elementary above my desk. He was one of the most dedicated and beloved teachers I have ever experienced; and he touched many more the same way. Rest in Peace, Mr. Mag.
