Pasquale "Pat" Riccio

SOUTHINGTON - Pasquale "Pat" Riccio, 76, of Southington, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at the Hartford Hospital after a short illness. He was the beloved husband of Susan (Beausoleil) Riccio of 45 years.

Born Dec. 31, 1939, in Waterbury he was the son of the late Patsy and Louise (Cusano) Riccio.

Most of Pat's teaching career, which he loved, was spent in the East Lyme School System. He was a collegiate basketball strategist and an avid collector of movie books and tapes, his specialty was with the 30's and 40's.

In addition to his wife he leaves two sisters, Joanne Riccio, of North Branford and Kathy Guida and husband, John, of Southington; a nephews, John Guida Jr.; a niece, Barbara Jean Petrosino and husband, and children, Devin, Aiden and Chloe Petrosino. He also leaves a sister-in-law, Barbara and husband, Charles Lewis; a brother –in-law, Louis and wife, Judy Beausoleil; and nephews, Karl and wife, Kathryn Lewis, and Daniel and wife, Jessica Lewis, and their children.

Pat's family would like to thank the staff at the Summit of Plantsville for their loving care and support for the eight months he resided there.

His funeral will be held on Monday, March 28, at 11:30 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. Calling hours will be Monday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
