Not sure what to say?

Very sorry to hear of Pat's passing. He gave me my first job as Granby Public Schools Business Manager in 1973 He taught me well and I went on in Govt. for another 25 years. Our paths crossed many times at different meetings. I smile as I remember his bottles of maple syrup that he said cost $20.00 in time and labor. Dot, the first year the wall paper came off in the house from all the steam, and we often would stop to pick up a few pieces of wood as we drove along the backroads of Granby....

It was with sadness that I learned about the recent passing of Mr. Starble, who was the Superintendent of Schools in Granby, CT for seventeen years. Today, Granby Public Schools is widely known as a wonderful New England School System, in large part, because of the visionary, courageous and compassionate leadership of superintendents and public officials such as Mr. Starble. Over the years, I have come to learn about Mr. Starble's many contributions and discover how well liked he was by the...

Al and Joanne send our deepest sympathies on the death of Al's fellow superintendent. Al has many fond memories of the years when Pat was in Granby and he in East Granby. We both remember the Farmington Valley Superintendents social events fondly.

I am so sorry. Oh how his beloved teaching and himself , helped us grow as students. How do we thank someone who has now passed on. May he rest in peace.
He and all his family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Mr. Starble was my sixth grade teacher in Pleasantville, New York 1960 - 61, perhaps the most dedicated and memorable teacher I ever had. By chance, I attended the Pleasantville High School Class of 1967 50th Reunion that concluded the very day Mr. Starble passed away. Many of those classmates also had Mr. Starble for 6th grade and remembered him vividly. In all my schooling, I never saw fellow students so deeply moved by a teacher. Mr. Starble's ability to convey a love of learning, and...

Mr. Starble was a dear man. I was privileged to working under his direction at the Granby Public Schools. He directed us through some difficult times with grace and dignity. It was a privilege to have known him. My deepest condolences to his family.

Its terrible to hear about your loss and we express our sincere sympathy to you and your family

Kristen, I am sorry for the loss of your dad. I have many memories from childhood play dates, birthday parties and of course as our principle. I pass your old house in W. Granby all the time. Thinking of you and your family.

Our deepest condolences for the Starble family. You are in our thoughts and prayers. May you take comfort in the Lord as Pat enters the eternal embrace of God.
