Patsy Marie “Pat” (Cooper) Heidelberg, 87, of Blanchard, passed away peacefully in her home on March 26, 2026. The daughter of Louise (Steapp) Cooper, Pat was born in Three Rivers, Texas on November 23, 1938. She was a woman of many gifts and talents with a heart of service and caring for others. Her family and friends will greatly miss her.
Pat embodied strength, integrity, and grace. She always put others before herself, was generous, candid, and devoted. Her kids and grandkids were in awe of her independence and grit. She was an excellent judge of character and held people accountable. She was strikingly beautiful, a real lady, and resembled movie stars from the 1950-60’s. Avid snow skier, tennis player, fisherman, artist, cook, ball team and horse show supporter. Many called her Momma Pat because she and Hoppy mentored their kids’ friends. For example, she challenged her son and the Blanchard HS Student Council to be the first youth group in the state of OK to adopt a highway and pick up litter from roadsides.
Pat received her associate degree in Finance at San Antonio Jr. College. She began her career in banking in Texas where she met Hoppy. After moving to Oklahoma, Pat worked for two years at a bank in Purcell, then moved to Bank of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City where she worked until she was 72 years old. She was the account manager for Hobby Lobby, Express Personnel, Dolese Concrete and other national, Oklahoma-based companies at the time of her retirement.
Not only did Pat work as a professional at the bank, but she did the accounting for Oklahoma Stallion Station and foal imprinting on over 1000 race horse babies. The Stallion Station raised Quarter and Thoroughbred racing horses. Pat was the owner and operator of Blackberry Jam Cabin, a luxurious cabin rental in Broken Bow and managed it daily. Hoppy and Pat were active members of Blanchard First Baptist Church.
Pat is preceded in death by her mother, Louise Cooper; father, William Cooper; husband, Hoppy Eric Heidelberg; siblings, Mary Lou Lawson, and William “Bill” Cooper; and parents-in-law, Woody and Eugenia Heidelberg.
Pat is survived by two children, Houston and wife Sheila Wilkie Heidelberg, and Heather Heidelberg Gipson and Quinton Hogan all of Blanchard; three grand-daughters, Happy Rylan Gipson, Hannah Grace Gipson, and Emma Claire Heidelberg; great grandson, Jo’Zire Kash Hawkins; siblings, Joe Cooper of Arizona, Geraldine Ferrell and husband Bill of Oklahoma City and Paula Kirmse and husband Don of New Braunfels, Texas; brother-in-law, Wilson and wife Sharon Heidelberg of Midland, Texas; brother-in-law Norris Heidelberg; Nathan and Glennie Heidelberg; Junior Heidelberg; Haley Heidelberg; and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members.
A celebration of Pat’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, April 20, 2026, at First Baptist Church in Blanchard, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com. In lieu of flowers, the Heidelbergs’ prefer donations be made to the youth program at Blanchard First Baptist Church.
