Not sure what to say?

Dear Jeff and family, we are very sorry for your loss. After reading about your mom, it is obvious that she was an amazing woman. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

To the Keener family,
My thoughts and prayers. Pat was so kind, humble and fun to be around. I shared her environmental concerns and we discussed them on occasion. When I was feeling down,I always felt better after talking with her. I can't stop thinking about her. May she ALWAYS rest in peace.

To Pat's family: As a member of the Simsbury Investment Club, Pat contributed her knowledge, enviromental concerns and adventuresome attitude. I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent with her as did all the other members.

I feel lucky to have known Pat in recent years and shared her passion for UCONN basketball. We had much fun together. The preservation of the river will be her ongoing legacy to this town. I will celebrate her life and will miss my dear friend.

Know family must be so proud of Pat Keener's philosophy that the earth is only loaned to us lowly, human animals, to continue to think of generations, forward, ie., a Rachel Carson student.... Gail Eckberg

Your mother used to come in to where I worked in New Hartford. She always had a smile on her face and was happy to talk to anyone. She would tell me about her many travels. I was so sorry to her of her passing. She was an amazing human being.

To Pat's family ~
What a wonderful citizen of New Hartford and how interested she was in this lovely area! She was passionate to preserve it, and how lucky new Hartford is for her efforts.
I liked her very much and feel blessed to have known her.

I so enjoyed working with Pat. She taught me much.

Communities, true communities, have their foundations in people of action, not people who "sit on their back porches eating bon bons" (as Pat used to say). Pat, through her love of her river, her town, her many friends, and of course, her family, made the Farmington Valley a better place to live with her dedicated actions based in goodness. I feel very lucky to have known Pat and called her a terrific friend!
